About Us
Sam Landercasper, Founder
Sam Landercasper is a public-service strategist who helps organizations build systems that work for real people, primarily in the areas of food and financial security.
Beam Partners is a result of 15+ years of turning policy into action, at the local, state, and school level, with measurable results that set you up for a sustainable trajectory.
Sam is honored to be in the second cohort of the Aspen Institute's Food & Society Food Leaders Fellowship.

Our mission is reinforced by lived experience.
Sam grew up in a household where privilege came with responsibility. His father, a retired physician, and his mother, a retired veterinarian, spent their careers serving others, making it clear that meaningful work should contribute to the greater good.
Sam has held low-wage jobs where, on paper and in practice, he should have qualified for assistance. He has seen firsthand how eligibility rules and real life don’t always align, and how easily people can fall through the cracks, even when they’re working hard. He is also in recovery from drug and alcohol addiction, an experience that deepened his commitment to dignity, accountability, transparency, and practical pathways to stability.

Sam is bilingual, has lived in multiple states, and has traveled widely, giving him a broad lens on culture, systems, and what it takes to build trust.
Professionally, Sam brings 15 years of experience working in social services for local and state governments, where he has helped translate policy into operational reality. He has also served as an educator in both middle school and graduate programs, experiences that shape how he communicates – clear, direct, and built for implementation.
In recent years, his work has centered on strategic planning, project management, and systems building that make good intentions sustainable: clear outcomes, workable processes, and partnerships that hold up over time, all through data-driven, research-based, and grassroots approaches.

Food Leaders Fellowship, Aspen Institute
I'm excited to be part of the second cohort of the Food & Society’s Food Leaders Fellowship. More than 20 community food system leaders have gathered to collaborate and accelerate our programs.
I believe that food insecurity is a severe but solvable threat, and I'm particularly focused on studying and addressing the issue at the level of rural resort regions that have been historically underserved and underrepresented in food security efforts.
